Hats
Every week, the first day that Sterling goes back to work for the week, instead of sleeping during the day, he just sleeps in as long as he can and gets up around noon. This means that once a week, the daycare shuttle is reversed, and I drop off, he picks up. Today was that day, and mommy's hair looked ROUGH this morning. .. so I wore a hat. James saw this hat, and immediately demanded his own! He pointed to HIS head and said, "hat! hat!", so I had to run upstairs and grab his, lest he wake up daddy!
Dogs
Then, while eating breakfast, he dropped a piece of food. He immediately pointed to it and said, "get it, Becky!". They really do learn by example!
We also walked Becky in the yard this morning, and got a visit from Murphy (Jennie's dog, across the street). James loves Murphy, and said hi to him and gave him lots of pats. Then we went to go back inside, and James said, "come on, Murphy!". I had to explain to him that Murphy lived across the street, not at our house. He pointed to Jennie's house and said, "Murphy's house!". Smarty, that one!
Sneezes
So, we get to Valarie's, and walk down to the bus stop and James has to sneeze. If you've ever seen him do this, you know this typically means 3 sneezes in a row. We always have a good, silly laugh about this, and this is followed by fake sneezes which generate more giggles. Well, the kids as the bus stop saw this, and thought it was hilarious. Within seconds, he had half a dozen elementary school kids around him in a circle, and he was entertaining them like a stand-up comedian! No confidence issues, there!
